mode of selection and brief guidance

wipro has come to suratcal. They had selected on the basis of test 8 from electrical,8 from EC, and 9 from MECH; but finally taken 2;one each from Ec and mech but no ELECTRICAl. the 2 they have selected were toppers from EC &mech... i'm giving u the the test pattern:

IN WRITTEN TEST: THERE were 3 sections;
1st section: IQ test ; in this there was 36 questions ;TIME:40 min;
It comrises only figurative type like series pattern. Two rows r given of figures each of 4 fig, and the third row consist of 3 fig and 1 blank which u have to fill;These u can get from R.S GGARWAL VERBAL AND NON VERBAL REASONING...

2nd section: consist of aptitude in which no. of questions =60 and time=40 min..this paper was really interesting and some what difficult. all teh 40 questions was of figurartive type but different from IQ;
like 4 fif r given of ships and forces r applied to it at different positions and u have to find which will be align in some particular wind direction..or forces applued on a string passing trough different pulleys
r given and which will be fastest speed or max displacement..max questions r of GEar type different gears were given and 1direction is given & u have to find the direction fo some other pulleys's directions..


3rd section: TECH paper different for each branh

In electrical the questions r generally from machines and power
system..
and few from EMI and and fromnetworks..
the questions were good and vrey basic..like
