hi friends,

i hope you received my previous mail regarding
TCS test pattern.

here is the second phase of my mail about
commonly asked questions.

1. tell us about yourself ?

2. how do you rate your knowledge in C LANGUAGE
on 0 - 10 scale.
(or)
what is your software proficiency ?

3. questions related to your seminars presented (or)
projects done.

4. questions about your PLUS points
MINUS points

5. about your hobbies

6 do you have any problems if you get a chance to
go abroad ?

these are the commonly asked questions.
you may get some more .it depends on your style
of preparing BIO-DATA form.

the last and important question is ..
YES.. it's about 2- minutes talk.

in most cases but by no means always choice will be
given to us for selecting a topic.

the general topics are:

T2K
MULTIMEDIA
CD-ROM
LAN
WAN
INTERNET
INTRANET
NUCLEAR TESTS & SANCTIONS .etc.

normally what they expect from you is..
your communication skills
&
your way of presenting technical topics.

even though it's a 2-minutes talk,you can stop that
within one minute, provided if you did well in this
one minute.

my advice to you is..
just know some thing about all the topics mentioned
above.
but select some advaned topics like any one among the
following 3 topics ;

1. features of WINDOWS- 98
(read JAN 22-nd ,Hindu magazine,Science & Technology)

2. features of E-commerce
(read Computers Magazine -june issue
&
march 12 ,hindu,science & technology
may 18, hindu ,business pages )

3. Geographic Information Systems(GIS) which has
many applications in
Transportation Engg
&
Hydraulics and Water Resources Engg
&
Urban Planning and Urban Management


(read Dec 18,1997, Hindu ,Science & Technology
&
Jan 22, Hindu ,Science & Technology)


i completed this in hurry manner.

any way i hope this will help you to some extent.

Generally the interview time will vary between
15 to 20 minutes..at the most 25 minutes.
so start preparing answers for the above mentioned
questions from now on wards,so that you can present
them confidently.
